Good for Tuesday
Good For Tuesday is a Montreal four-piece that takes after the early-2000s New-York and English alternative art rock. Drawing clear lineage from Bloc Party, The Strokes, and early Radiohead, the band trades in moody guitars, groovy rhythms, and choruses built for late-night rooms and crowded floors. Formed in 2023 out of a shared desire to play with purpose as well as build an innovative catalogue to push the boundaries of the genre, the lineup solidified with Antoine on vocals and guitar, Dario on lead guitar, Louis-Félix on bass, and Jordan on drums.
The group’s identity lives in the tension between fate and defiance. Their songs circle themes of pushing against the status quo, wrestling with destiny, and the stubborn belief that cutting through the noise is still possible on your own terms. That attitude powered their 2024 debut EP, TwoZeroSix, and now sets the stage for their next chapter: 776 (EP), arriving in March of 2027.
Live, GFT brings a focused, grungy mystique to Montreal’s indie rooms, having shared stages with acts like Uncle Strut and Armoire. Their aesthetic leans into the mysterious and the edgy—unpolished, it is less about image, more about the charge of the performance and the rawness of the emotions that follow. With a vivid, narrative-based approach to songwriting and a sound that bridges post-punk precision and indie-rock urgency, the band is positioning itself as a fresh voice for alt-rock fans who remember when guitar music ruled the night.
